Critique: Prom Night III goes for laughs this time although the film can't seem to make up its mind between horror and comedy. What you get is a unintentionally bit inconsistent in quality and pace but consistent in camp. High school seniors would probably like it. It combines sex, jealousy, murder, and all the enemy forces of adolecsent life at its culmination, prom night.
Plot Summary: Mary Lou has broken out of hell at the same time new school principal Weatherall is opening a new gymnasium at Hamilton High School assuming that will make the problems of the old one had go away. The guidance councilor tells Alex he isn't med school material "the world needs ditchdiggers too". On his first anniversary with his girlfriend, Alex has a sexual encounter with Mary Lou's ghost followed by repeated visits by her. Mary Lou is in love and she guides Alex to a better performance on the football field and in the classroom and does away with anyone who gets in his way. guidance councilor comedy for high school seniors sex and enemys as his success mounts so do his problems although his family is thrilled his best friewnd and girlfriend are not and ditching the bodies is becoming a full time job. In a case of sexual haunting, excorcism can only occur with the sacrifice of a human soul. The killing spree is the result of poor diet, rock & roll lyrics and too many horror movies. The school decides to go through with the prom, which leads to a showdown over Alex between Sara and Mary Lou and her army of zombies.
