Realistic portrayal of rape and random murder. </B><B>Scary mus</B><B>ic and lots of long quiet shots of the Victims. Social commentary good acting the scenes combining movie action and video tape are interwoven seamlessly. and good pace make this a very well made movie. The reality of it all is often too much for viewers and we frankly don't know what to make of this film genre-wise. Its so close to a realistic portrayal of a  killer and his unfortunate friends and social commentary that it barely qualifies for the designation horror movie except for that it sickens and horrifies the viewer with its portrayal of blood and gore violence as do many horror movies. This  is different, in that most horror movie decidedly lack realism, and usually have a plot. Henry just kind of goes around killing people and he and his friends could be a social reality anywhere in this country, a thought that makes this very dark movie a depressing experience for many. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B><U>Plot Summary</U></B><B>: A ripped apart naked woman. Henry eating breakfast and smoking cigarettes. Then a store full of dead people. Henry drives around in his old Chevy. A mangled woman naked in the bathroom. Henry drives around looking for victims, some work out some don't. A hitchhiker with a guitar. Otis picks up his sister Becky at the airport, who has left her husband, and her baby with her mother to start a life up north. She moves in with Otis and Henry, who comes home with a guitar as a present for Henry. Henry is ostensibly heading west, just staying for a while. He has a job as an exterminator as an avocation but it doesn't last so he takes his bug spray and goes door to door. Otis works at a gas station and sells drugs. Becky asks Otis how he met Henry They met in prison and that Henry was in prison for murdering his mother. Henry and Becky play cards and get to know each other. Henry had a deformed brother with a bone disorder. Becky didn't like her daddy. He hit her and raped her. Sure is good to talk to you Henry. Did you really kill your momma. I stabbed her. She was a whore.The problem was how she did it, She did it with her father there. Henry had to wear a dress and watch her have sex. She and her partner would laugh at him and beat him. On his 14th birthday she hit him with a whiskey bottle. He shot her, stabbed her, hit her with a baseball bat. He isn't sure. Becky get's a job as a beauty parlor. Henry can't read. Otis tries to grab Becky but Henry hurts him and makes him apologize and promise never to do it again. Otis and Henry go on a double date and Henry kills both dates in the car by breaking their necks. Otis wonders what's going to happen when they get caught. Henry says they won't get caught. "Its's always the same and it's always different. It's either you or them." Otis kills the TV so henry and Otis go shopping for one. The black market guy smart-ass loudmouth he is really abusive but henry and Otis get him good and smash a tv over his head then turn it on. They take a cam corder and a tv. Otis hits on a high school kid buying pot and the kid busts him in the nose. Although Otis would like to kill the kid Henry advises him against it and they drive into Chicago to kill someone else. The broken car scam is great. Henry tells Otis about modus operandi and that committing two similar murders creates a fingerprint. The most important thing is to keep moving. Henry suggests they go on the road until Otis' next parole meeting, which they do. They film their murders with the camcorder and watch them again and again. Until the camera breaks and Otis throws it out the window they argue Otis goes out for a beer and henry goes out for a steak dinner with Becky after which she tries to take him to bed. He goes for a walk and returns to find Otis raping Becky. Together Becky and Henry poke his eye out and stab him repeatedly. Henry cuts him into pieces and they pack him up in suitcases and a guitar case before throwing him in the river and keep moving. Henry would like to go to his sister's ranch and promises to send for daughter Lerline as soon as they're settled outside San Bernardino. They declare their love for one another and get a hotel room.
