Critique: Mildly amusing tongue in cheek porno-take-off, (or is it just a soft porno flick?) Lorinz keeps us entertained with his New Jersey, Woody Allen meets Dr. Frankenstein act. Not a lot of deep thinking here, but things move along fairly smoothly. Schtick such as Elizabeth's eating problems carrying over to the Elizabeth monster work passably. It's nice to see the horsey Louise Lasser, though she's really just a walk on. Check out the car driving home with the body parts stuffed in garbage bags hanging out the back. Lucky the police didn't see that.
Plot Summary: Open with Jeffrey Franken engaging in some vaudeville over a brain in a vat with an eye stuck in it, which follows rudimentary movements. J. calls himself a bio-electro-technician. At the barbecue, his fiance Elizabeth falls prey to his remote controlled lawnmower. Jeffrey must turn his mind to diagraming muscle control relays. The police find that some parts are missing. The theory is that grisly souvenirs have been collected. Jeffrey's mother is worried about him since the accident. The brain in the vat is looking better, though. In a nice moment of self-reflection for a budding monster, Jeffrey admits he is losing the ability to tell right from wrong. Mother suggests a sandwich. In the garage, things are looking Frankensteinian. Jeffrey has Elizabeth's head on the table and suggests some possible bodies: Jeffrey has indeed become a bit anti-social. Jeffrey's storm needed for the process arrives in two days. He must assemble the parts in that time. He drills himself a little lobotomy to stir up some ideas. This does the trick as he hits on the idea of hookers. He heads downtown and soon is surrounded by hookers and sets up a "party" for the next day. Crack cocaine will be the cause of death. He reasons if they don't want it, they can just say no. It didn't work for Reagan and it doesn't work here. The party is a real bust. The killer cocaine works all too well, leaving the girls in a parts salad. He pledges that he will get everyone back together at his first opportunity, collecting as many as he can put in garbage bags and beating it back to the garage. After some unsightly bunions are removed, the process begins in earnest. Elizabeth head is united with a potpourri of parts and the Frankenstein-lab effects, complete with arc lamp, are set in motion. Things go a bit awry as not only Elizabeth, but all the stray parts are dosed with electricity. Elizabeth's personality is apparently affected by the prostitutes which constitute her body. She heads off as on a mission. Jeffrey awakens to find her gone and hunts her down in the combat zone. Elizabeth's tricks apparently can't take the heat, or is it her electric personality? When she goes to the hookers' bar, Ziro, the hookers' pimp, recognizes a few of her parts. She gets in a bar fight with him, and Jeffrey must take her home with her head on sideways. Ziro comes back to take his revenge and Jeffrey is the one in need of a bio-electro-technician. What can Elizabeth do to help him?
