Critique: The scenes from the prom are a delightful period piece featuring platform shoes three piece suits, disco music, and an agressive dance competition.
Plot Summary: The children of Hamilton School are playing a pretty scary game, "The killer is coming", and it gets out of hand when the killers scare Robin, who was on her way to school with her two siblings (twin brother Alex & older sister Kim (Jamie Lee Curtis)) into jumping out a window. Six years later (1980) someone is calling all the "killers" and asking them if they can come out to play or tonight its my turn and checking his list as he goes Jude, Kelly (still a wimp), Nick (Kim's date) Wendy (still a bitch and Nick's recent ex) The prom's king and queen, Nick and Kim are destined to have the lousiest prom since Carrie.
The area is crawling with creeps on the day before the prom. Mr. Sykes the groundskeeper was obviously born to be a pervert. He is rumored to spie on the girls showers and carries an electric hedge trimmer. The suspended punk who wants revenge against the entire family of Principal Hammond (Leslie Neilson) has teamed up with spurned Wendy to ruin the Hammond's dance. Meanwhile the police are searching for the original suspect in the murder, Leonard Murch, a known sex fiend, who escaped from the State Mental Hospital, killed a nurse and is "psychotic, disfigured, violent" and still at large on Prom Night, which falls on the anniversary of Robin's death this year.
