the conflict between the "monster in the closet" and the militaries ability to put an end to it. That social-critical agenda, however, fails by a long shot to make this a good movie. the San Francisco and Army can't stop closet monster With this cast, the mix of humor and drama, and the attempt to educate, this is the Love Boat with a monster on board.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><U>Plot Summary</U></B><B>: Chestnut Hill CA 11:15am Wednesday April 21. A girl Mary Caldwell is dragged into her closet by a monster 9:47 Friday the 23rd, a blind guy searches his apartment, his seeing eye dog runs tho the closet. He opens the closet and steps past the hung murdered shepherd to be killed by the monster. The following Monday or Tuesday 26 or 27th 3:15-ish . A little girl searches her closet and becomes victim #3  Wed May 16, San Francisco 9:33am. Dick the loser is surprisingly offered the monster story by his paper's star reporter, Scoop Johnson, and heads out full of good intentions to interview the sheriff 1:10pm. He meets a boy working on an ultrasonic energy thing and gives the kid chocolate nestles crunch. The angry mother leads the boy off. She is a professor who believes a type of snake. Mrs. Bennett teaches biology.  The Sheriff is convinced its an insane criminal. Richard and the Sheriff drive yto 2:17 pm the building next door where Stella Stevens takes a psycho parody shower. Her husband interrupts her twice his third time he is told the car key is in her purse in the closet. He retrieves it and is killed as his wet wife looks on. The Sheriff and Richard hear the screams and investigate. Richard visits the health obsesses biologist Dianne San Francisco daily Richard Clark. Dr. Einstein thinks the results of tests will be ready by early evening and invites Richard to Dianne's dinner party. At dinner, the priest and Einstein argue over science and religion. As they argue Diane falls in love with Richard and invites him upstairs to see the kids invention. Across the street a man screams there's a monster in his house. Sheriff Ketchum arrives with an army of police and demand the criminal give himself up.  The police attempt to enter but a monster busts through the door. Despite the Sheriffs five shots the monster kills him with a retractable mouth. The other police shoot him hundred s of times but it only tips a cruiser and walks back into the house. The professor. The paper story of the monster is a sensation, the president sends in the national guard. General at the press conference Einstein posits an alien and would like to research it, but the general declares his intention to destroy it. Scoop informs Dick that Dick has been promoted to do a political story. Dick packs his bags and takes his 1956 Chevy to Dianne's with flowers and overhears Scoop making fun of him. When scoop is ushered out, Richard presents his flowers. As the priest and Einstein argue, Richard again takes off his glasses to clean them and Dianne falls into a new love-trance. Just then the professor overhears kids recording of the monster. The melody of the monster reveals the solution to Einstein. Repeating the melody on a xylophone, the foursome walks the street until they hear sounds in a house and enter. The investigation reveals an upstairs closet padlocked - Einstein approaches but its only Scoop Johnson. Einstein tells Scoop he hopes to learn from the creature when he suddenly spies a figure in a warehouse window. Dianne is surprised by a cat. Close encounters parody. They approach another padlocked door and open it to be arrested by the army. An army specialist deduces that the monster moves in half circles every 9.5 hours which means it should be at the gymnasium right now. Watson elementary school 7:12pm the group rides with the general. As kid works a monster creeps up on him and drags him off Richard grabs the boy by the feet then breaks off the monsters claws until he frees the bot. all flee as the heavy artillery arrives. As the general prepares to raze the building, Einstein runs in front and plays the melody on his xylophone claiming to be the monster's friend. ET music. As the crowd beams approval, scientist and monster meet and the monster bites Einstein in the heart. The general gives the monster thec works, but it shuffles off. As Einstein dies, he is happy that his idea to communicate worked. General Patton. Friday May eighteenth 10:21am. Scoop interrupts Uncle Einstein's funeral and Richard punches him unconscious. Dianne realizes they must destroy its energy source. She tells the general electricity will destroy it. Priest takes kid to San Francisco. The general ignores Dianne's plan. The general flees. Dianne and Richard decide to kill the monster together for there is a) no alternative,b) a great story and a third reason he refuses to divulge. The pair mount speakers to Dianne's house and construct and wire their trap blowing up a mock monster as a test.Approaching midnight in Chestnut Hill, an electrical storm accompanies the xylophone music pumped through loud speakers. As they wait, Dianne eats chocolate and asks Richard what C was? She admits she loves him and the monster breaks through the door and steps around the trap Richard tosses a crunch bar in the trap and the monster follows they electrocute it but it dismantles the trap. They flee upstairs. The boy has just completed his ray gun As Richard plays the melody on a toy horn the boy fires just then Dianne knocks off Richards glasses and the monster falls into a love trance and carries him off. Kid wakes Dianne. Boy remembers the Einstein's final words:Destroy all, and the boy adds closets.Dianne appears in tv urging people to destroy all closets. As the nation destroys all closets the monster stumbles along sadly with Richard. The monster enters the x-building in San Francisco sees a closet but for some reason goes outside, drops Richard and falls on him dead. Richard gets an exclusive and Dianne falls into a love trance.</B></div> </td> </tr></table></body>
