The creature effects are horrifying and the story is great adding subplots elegantly. The weird neighbor scenes blur  what is real and not in the film for the viewer as well as for poor Allison Parker. Well constructed film. Daddy's dead. The film features a litany of stars, some at the very beginning of their careers such as Christopher Walken, Jeff Goldblum, Chris Sarandon, and Beverly D'Angelo. Is the father in the sentinel the naked guy in Reanimator?</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><U>Plot Summary</U></B><B>: Northern Italy: A group of priests meet in a secluded chamber to pray let no evil thing approach. One announces There is danger. Pan to NY City where a model, Allison Parker and a lawyer are moving into new apartments. Ever since X got out of the hospital she's been with him but she needs her own place. A priest follows the women as they look at apartments. Mike asks her to marry him but she doesn't want to hear it. Mom calls from Baltimore, father is dying. Allison begins having visions Is she just imagining perverse sex parties in the supposedly abandoned apartment building? A flashback shows her slit her wrists. Allison take an apartment in a very exclusive building.The agent Miss Logan is very eager to give Allison the apartment she knocks the rent down 100 dollars and demands only a fifty dollar deposit. Even on the job Allison is haunted by seizures and visions. Charles Chazen in 4B visits with Mortimer the bird from Brazil and Jezzibel the cat and invites himself in. He inspects what he insists was a picture of Herbert Hoover, but it turns out to be a picture of him. Next she meets the weird women next door who masturbate in front of her they fondle and caress each other for a living. During a commercial filming Allison performs badly then collapses. Mr. Chazen  brings her to his place he blindfold Allison the whole house is in his apartment Mrs Clark 4a Emma & Lillian Klopkin twins 3b Gerde and Sandra the lovers for Jezzabel's birthday party. That night she dreams of the apartment and a different version of Jezzibel's party with the lovers naked and everyone watching her in her underwear.!0 Montague terrace Brooklyn heights, The neighbors are starting to drive her crazy particularly the banging metal upstairs. The landlady informs her that aside from herself and the priest who lives upstairs, no-one has lived in the building for three years. The priest who was shadowing Allison earlier visits upstairs where he tells the holy father he has come that he may shed his burden in peace. The sounds of footsteps and metal continue and finally Allison investigates to find Jezzibel eating Mortimer. Then a door opens and her naked father marches past  he is all rotten. she stabs him cuts his eye out and nose off and runs screaming from the house.The detective knows her father died three weeks ago but is curious about Allisons insistence that she had killed someone. </B></div> <div> <B>One of the guests at the party Anna Clark  was sentenced to the electric chair for killing her lover and his wife March 27 1949</B></div> <div> <B>Black and white cat black and white cake is what she said The detective meanwhile is investigating a fatal car accident with an unidentifiable body. The body is stabbed repeatedly and died the same night Allison claims to have committed murder Michael is visited by the detectives they found his card on the body. He claims he never saw him before. As Allison prays the priest talks to her She tells him she needs to come back to Christ she's committed adultery and twice tried to commit suicide and wants to again for having killed her father even though she knows he was dead. For each one of us Christ has a purpose. Investigating the house, Allison complains that a book says the same thing on every page and its in Latin . its not but she can read it.</B></div> <div> <B>Miss Logan says the church owned this building. The Latin professor is very senile. Early Latin An order to watch that no evil thing approach lines 3 Lost Milton. Monsignor encino tells Michael about father Matthew Halloran. He was pastor at the church of the heavenly angel. In 1952 his congregation was disbanded and the church was torn down. The priest becomes angry when he sees the translation Michael has and claims never to have seen it before. Allison is growing more and more ill. Michael hires a guy William O'Rourke disappeared after a suicide and suddenly father Halloran appeared the book goes on and on back in time showing the pattern of suicide attempt disappearance and reappearance as a nun or priest. According to the files there is only one day before Halloran dies and Allison becomes sister Theresa.Michael insists that they go to Jennifer's party. The police find the identities of the party-goers were, 8 dead murderers. Allison faints at the party and screams the guests lay her in the bed but she disappears. Michael confronts the blind priest at the gate to hell. as he strangles him he is bashed on the head with an icon. Michael tells Allison she is to replace Urion as the keeper of the gate to paradise. The only way they can stop her is to have her commit suicide. Michael and the murderers are Satan's representatives. She is confronted by all manner of hideous demons as she makes her way to the outpost       They insist she kill herself. The future of humanity hangs in the balance as Father Halloran and Monsignor struggle to pass the guard to the next generation As Satan's legions work on her</B></div> <div> <B>The plot thickens when daddy shows up too, and the party-goers turn out to have been dead murderers.</B></div> </td> </tr></table></body>
