25 Minutes for $3? Hal Holbrook hosts this quick cheap journey through the career of master make-up man Dick Smith. Roy Scheider, Walther Mathau, Lincoln, gush throughout this truly useless documentary, an utter made for cable slap in the face to Smith. William Friedkin tout his ability to do more than monsyter, Blair Brown (Altered States) Rick Baker Oscar winner in 82 & 87. People don't call me unless they have a problem. Smith explains that the greatest exitement comes when the job goes from plastic to color and "it starts becoming a flesh face" as he describes the doctor frankenstein syndrom. "Amadeus"
his exploits at Yale svcaring classmates making... Started 1945 NBC television, self taught live television worked with Audrey Hepburn's eyebrows. Secrets! Brando had a dental plomber not cotten for the godfather. Walther Mathau's old age hand stipple wrinkle effect bald wrinkly in his forties. The we'll be right bacjhk is irritating. In the lab in his suburban home Smith brings these wondrers to life. Linda Blair's head appliances from The Exorcist. The test approaches from golden years Dustin Hoffman in Little Big Man 34 years old inspired Rick Baker who was an assistant on the set. (Coming to America?) Materials built based on... North and south based on a life mask of Lincoln applied to Hal Holbrook. Gluing on the appliances is the toughest part of the job. Ground breaking scenes from The Exorcist "one of the hardest things I did" turning Linda Blair into a demon, coutting scars into her face accent her demonic nature in juxtposition to the cherubic face of Linda Blair. Roy Scheider "Dick has no secrets" shares his work. Praises the actors for bringing such as F. Murray Abraham in Amadeus for bringing his work to life. Former proteges carl Freolichton and neil martz worked along on Golden Years. "Youv've got to be a little nuts" Indeed. It's over fast, contains nothing enlightening, and is short and superficial enough to be shown before an oscar presentation. An oscar for the make-up man, a Cujo for the Documentary.
