Johnny Depp's line "Morality sucks!" at the his girlfriend's decline of his advances is one reason this film and indeed the entire series found such resonance with teenagers. surprising special effects rate high and indeed set a standard that positively strangled the series after part two. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Plot Summary: 15 year old Tina is having nightmares, scary ones (her nightdress is torn) in which a big man with a burnt face and a razor fingered glove attacks her in a factory boiler room. Lots of kids on her block are having nihghtmares, and when they get around to discussing it, they realize that its the same big guy in the red and green sweater and hat. When Tina's mother goes away, she has her three best friends stay over to comfort her. One two Freddy's after you, three four lock your door Five six grab your crucifix, seven eight stay up late. These are things coincidentally all involved do without ever having discussed it. Where have these traditions come from? That night she sees him again and in nightmare form he blocks off her exit with arms 40 feet wide along with any other nightmare trick he can pull to be more terrifying. Exeunt Tina in a bloody mess leaving only her screaming bloodied punk boyfriend, Rod, locked in a room as the only suspect. One hangup for the police chief his daughter was one of the friends at the scene, and she knows that Rod didn't do it, and that she had dreamed that someone would murder her. Now Nancy is being visited by more visions, when she doses in English class, bloody Tina visits her in a body bag and leaves a bloody trail throughout the high school as freddy drags her to the furnace as a lure for nancy who awakes in the nick of time. Upon visiting Ron in prison, Nancy discovers that he two has dreamt of the scary man. God I look 20 years old laments Nancy. Nancy proposes a test in order to seek out the man of her dreams, her boyfriend, glen, is to watch over her while she naps to wake her at the first sign of trouble, help me, save me from and the man adds freddy. After the alarm saves her this time she visits the prison in the middle of the night and has her father check on rod. By the time they got their, an un authorized visitor has hanged him with his sheets. She sexplains hrer visions of the man in the sweater and the hat and her horrified parents send her to a deream research center where they are barely able to wake her in time and she brings back a token from her visitor, freddys hat. Withconcrete evidence of freddys possible physicality, Nancy is convinced of whos behind it. Like the name in the hat says, Fred Krueger. Her drunk mother Marge decides its time to spill her guts about Freddy. abandonekd boiler room "Whatever you do dont fall asleep" Try telling a yteenage boy that. Nancy proposes to go get him asking her father to come and wake her ain 20 minutes and she'll bring Freddy out to be destroyed. Best of luck to her.</B></div> </td> </tr></table></body>
