Critique: Although some may be offended by the portrayal of the Island Natives, still this, like most of the American/Italian zombie films since Night of the Living Dead, is intended as politically correct social criticism, if trapped in the Europe of 1980. Indeed, this movie serves up all the other classic aspects of the romance culture zombie movie, nudity, male locker room banter, social commentary, and characters who change personalities without a second's notice and a questionable translation. Add to this the implausible European fixation on aquatic zombies (see: Zombies' Lake) and you have an exemplary Eurotrash gorefest. Despite all this, whom are we kidding? because of all this it is a fun movie to watch. Some of the zombies are quite scary, and like many of their kind, they can be destroyed by destroying their brains.

Plot Summary: Problem at the reactor: a dead rat in the most sterile sector of the module If only it were dead workers are ripped apart and the leak can't be stopped because the circuits have gone wild! Immediately, a group of "crazy terrorists" has kidnapped 8 hostages at the american consulate and is surrounded by a swat team  A pushy reporter   as the final terrorist dies he warns the comical swat team theat they are all doomed to be devoured by men like themselves. The Swat team inexpluicably lands on an island off New Guinea where a tv crew was filming until the son of a crew member is bitten and infected by a zombie when the zombies come out of the woodwork, even some underwater zombies (a leitmotif of the European zombie movie) The baffled visitors wonder lepers? Drunks? Will thecrew make it to the spill site in time to accomplish anything
