Critique: "They say he died as a boy and keeps coming back, few have seen him and lived...People forget, he's down there waiting." How the hell could they forget this impatient bastard? He ain't been down there waiting two years. Well, the man behind the mask is back again, dragged up by a gifted and disturbed teenager, whose anger gives her the ability to move things telekinetically. Although telekinesis is a pretty lame vehicle in horror since the Carrie ripoffs gave it a bad name, on the other hand, we enjoyed seeing the psychologist portrayed as a scheming card who wants to get notoriety from her case. That is always a good formula because it makes the film, silly as the premise is, seem more like real life. Jason's unmasking here is the best yet and lends the movie a Phibesian effects make-up importance. Not bad for a part VII. Still, he's becoming a bit like a student who keeps passing in the same bad paper. It's time to start from scratch.
